Social distancing and masks can create challenges for people with hearing loss.  We will discussed how to successfully wear masks when wearing hearing aids (so as not to lose the hearing aids!) and how to communicate effectively when wearing a mask.  In addition, we will talk about the importance of PHYSICAL distancing, not SOCIAL distancing.

The average person waits 7 years between first noticing a hearing loss and actually taking action on their hearing difficulties.  This delay is often due to denial about the hearing loss and a reluctance to wear hearing aids.  We will discuss strategies you can use to encourage a loved one to take the first steps to improve their hearing.

Dr. Karen Kantzes joined the audiology team at Cleveland Hearing & Speech Center in 1997. Dr. Kantzes believes in an individualized approach to rehabilitating hearing loss for people of all ages. She has extensive knowledge of a variety of hearing aids and other listening devices. She is committed to helping clients hear better in many different listening environments by making personalized recommendations end ensuring that each client achieves desired outcomes. Dr. Kantzes also manages the Audiology Patient Assistance Program.
