When registering for this CoP, please also register for the free Unit of Learning (UOL) “Communication and Language Assessments as Part of the Interpreting Process” on the Center for Atypical Language Interpreting (CALI) website at cssh.northeastern.edu/cali/units-of-learning/.
The UOL includes content designed to be viewed and completed over two weeks; however, this CoP will extend that timeframe by adding two virtual discussion groups to complement the UOL’s learning activities.
CEUs are free and available for the UOL (0.6 PS from CALI) and for the CoP discussions (0.4PS through DBHC).
Part 1: April 17, 7–9 p.m. on Zoom
Please complete the week one assignments in the UOL before joining this discussion group.
Part 2: April 24, 7–9 p.m. on Zoom
Please complete the entire UOL before joining this discussion group.
These discussion groups will be conducted in American Sign Language. Requests for an interpreter should be made by April 1.
Registration is “first come, first served”. Participation will be limited to the first 20 registrants, to ensure program integrity. A waitlist will be available, if needed.
