Social skills are the ways we use our language skills in social situations. Social communication is important in developing effective interpersonal skills and is critical to various aspects of our daily life. Social skills are important in childhood and adulthood. Despite the fact that 360 million people worldwide have hearing loss and that nearly 50% of people over 75 years of age have hearing loss, there is still wide spread resistance to trying hearing aids.
